Dr. Rui Wang who is trained as a M.D. in China and graduated from Tianjin Medical University, has a passion to be specialized in medical acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. Acupuncture Center USA is one of the best acupuncture centers in the world. Dr. Rui Wang is the founder of Acupuncture Center USA, a 7th generation medical acupuncture doctor of her family; her family is renowned for practicing acupuncture for generations and serving the emperor in Forbidden City. When she was a middle school student, Dr. Rui Wang started to learn acupuncture from her grandfather, father, and uncle who are renowned acupuncture doctors. She has more than 30 years of clinical experience and is specialized in treating a variety of difficult diseases. Dr. Rui Wang is an expert in integration of traditional Chinese medicine and modern conventional Western medicine. She integrates her acupuncture treatment into conventional Western medicine care. She has been collaborating with M.D. doctors and other conventional Western medicine professionals in Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, NY areas.

 

Dr. Rui Wang is also trained in western medicine. She graduated from Tianjin Medical University in 1989. After she graduated from medical school in 1989, she continued her postgraduate training specialized in the study of Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, while she was working at the university medical center. She had conventional western medicine fellowship training in endocrinology and emergency medicine as well. Before she opened her Acupuncture Center in Johnson City in 2000, she was involved in medical research (cancer research) at the University of Minnesota and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centers, as a postdoctoral research associate. Dr. Rui Wang’s unique experience in both academic medicine and private family inheritance medicine allows her a different style practicing acupuncture.

In 1991, Dr. Wenjun Wang graduated from an 8-year medical program (equivalent to the M.D. Program in USA) that only two medical schools offered in China. After medical school graduation, Dr. Wenjun Wang continued to approach to his doctor degree in Integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Conventional Western Medicine and graduated in 1995, when only 9 people held this kind of doctoral degree in the field of integrative medicine in the world. Dr. Wang's doctor degree advisor is the founder of integrative medicine, world renowned surgeon, professor Wu Xian-Zhong (国医大师吴咸中 / China National Great Master Doctor). Dr. Wu is professor in honor of Cleveland Clinic, WHO consultant of traditional medicine, the former president of Tianjin Medical University, China.

 

Dr. Wenjun Wang is a former faculty member at Division of Hematology and Oncology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Wang was specialized in clinical transnational study of melanoma at Melanoma Center directed by the world renowned oncologist, Professor John Kirkwood, M.D.. Dr. Wang's junior faculty mentor is Ronald B. Herberman, UPCI founding director. Another UPCI appointed junior faculty mentor for Dr. Wang is Dr. Soldano Ferrone, professor in residence, Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

 

Dr. Wenjun Wang is co-founder of Acupuncture Center USA, Integrative Medicine Center, and Acupuncture Integrative Oncology Institute in Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, NY.
